Adventure Begins at Your Library!

Reading at home and attending programs at the library fosters learning and exploration. Broaden your horizons and awaken your adventurous spirit!

Summer Reading at the Tarpon Springs Library runs from June 3 through August 3, with activities for all ages.

Reading Logs for Kids (Ages 0-12)

  • Pick up a reading log from the Youth Services Department or download and print one by clicking the button below.
  • Beginning Monday, June 5, shade in the amount of time that you read or are read to.
  • Earn a free book and prize for every seven days of reading.

Reading Challenge for Teens (Ages 13-17)

  • Pick up a reading slip from the Youth Services Department or download and print one by clicking the button below.
  • Complete a slip every time you read a book.
  • Return it to the library to enter a weekly drawing to win a gift card.

Reading Bookmarks for Adults (Ages 18+)

  • Pick up a summer reading bookmark in the library lobby.
  • Fill out the title, author and rating for each book you have read.
  • Return the completed bookmark to the library for a chance to win a grand prize drawing. Don’t forget to fill in your contact information!

Smokey Bear’s 80th Birthday Reading Challenge

  • Kids can earn badges and prizes as they read books and learn about wildfires and the environment.
  • Pick up a Smokey Bear Reading Log from the Youth Services Department or download and print one by clicking the button below.
  • Start by taking Smokey’s Pledge. Then read 3 books and earn 4 badges to complete the challenge and earn your prize!
  • Badges are earned by completing at least one activity in each section on the sheet. Get a stamp for each badge you complete.

Reading with the Rays

  • Students can read for 24 hours total and receive two (2) tickets to a selected Rays home game!
  • Turn in your completed game card to the library’s Youth Services Dept to receive your ticket voucher that may then be redeemed online for your Rays tickets.
