“Horse-drawn to Horse-less: Cars of the Early 1900s”

Laura Merrill from The Collection on Palmetto automotive museum will discuss the evolution of cars at the dawn of the Automotive Age.

She will be featuring four very special cars in the museum collection that dramatically shaped the evolution of automobiles at the turn of the century through innovative technologies, methods of propulsion, and manufacturing methods:

  • The 1886 Benz Patent Motorwagen, First Modern Car
  • The 1904 Pope Waverley Electric Car
  • The 1910 Stanley Steam Car
  • The 1914 Ford Model T
