Youth Summer Programs At A Glance

Preschool Programs

All Preschool Programs begin at 10:30am. No registration required except where noted.

Story Time Yoga (ages 2 to 7)
Friday, August 9 at 10:30 AM
An active story time with yoga poses and movement.

Wee Sing (ages 1 and up)
Saturday, August 17 at 10:30 AM
Join us for a preschool music program with Miss Jennifer. Have fun while learning colors, numbers, letters, sign language, and Spanish.

Regular weekly Preschool Story Time (ages 3-5) will resume Thursday, August 22, at 10:30 AM.

Regular weekly Toddler Time (ages 1-3) will resume on Friday, August 23, at 10:30 AM.


Educational Programs

Educational Programs are for children ages 6 to 12. Registration is required. Registration begins on the Monday of the week of the program, in person or by phone (727) 943-4922 ext 6016.

Space Travel
Wednesday, July 17 at 3 to 4 PM
Learn what it takes to be a true globetrotter! Race a balloon rocket and design your own engine as you learn about thrust. Includes a craft. Presented by Mad Science. Registration is required and begins on Monday, July 15.

Terrarium Workshop
Wednesday, July 31 at 3 to 4 PM
Create, decorate and learn how to care for your own tiny garden. All materials supplied. Registration is required and begins on Monday, July 29.


Family Programs

Everyone welcome. No registration required.

Ice Cream Party
Friday, July 19 at 2 to 4 PM
Join us for crafts, balloon sculpting and, of course, ice cream!

Mr Brad’s Musical Space Ship
Wednesday, July 24 at 3 to 4 PM
Mr. Brad takes us for a ride on a spaceship made of synthesizers, traveling from Mercury to Pluto in search of life and singing some songs along the way. From our “window” we’ll look out onto NASA images and videos of all the planets as well as many of the coolest dwarf planets and moons!


Teen/Tween Crafts

For youth ages 11-18. All materials provided. Registration is required

Terrariums
Tuesday, August 27 at 6:30 PM
Create and decorate a tiny garden for your room or desk. All materials supplied. Snacks provided. Registration required.

Family-friendly movies that are fun for all ages.
